If he wants to play he will. If he opts out it will have nothing to do with "the backup quarterback needs some reps so I'll get out y'all way".
So last year when Jayden was also the starter and it was still the 2022 season why did he and Nuss alternate drives? That was with him likely coming back by the way making your point even more stupid.

So by your logic Nuss and Collins should alternate drives in this game right?

Out of curiosity, did you notice that Jayden Daniels was injured in the TAMU and UGA games? Also, are you comparing the QB situation from the 2022 season to the one we have now?
I really do not understand any LSU Tiger fan not wanting to see the Heisman Trophy winner play as many times as possible for LSU.
Would I understand completely if he opts out of the game? YES.
But I cannot fathom why anyone that claims to be a Tiger fan would not want to watch Jayden Daniels play one more time.
Three weeks of bowl practice with players who may or may not even be at LSU next year is not going to have any impact whatsoever on how the offense shapes up going into the spring and fall camps. Is practice time beneficial? Yes. Does anyone actually know how football practice works? Apparently not. Whether JD5 is practicing or not, Nussmeier will get a crap ton of reps during these three weeks.
