Many will disagree, but I don't want Jayden to play against Wisconsin. For one, it's an absolute nothing game against an unranked opponent. Second, JD has absolutely zero upside to playing and only downside. He played really well or great in every game this season so one more isn't going to do anything to impress scouts. And if he absolutely craps the bed it could hurt him. Third, he could get hurt and screw up his future. Fourth, I think it's best for the program that Nuss get weeks of practice as #1 and get valuable game experience going into next season

3 things

1. I want him to play in the bowl game no matter what. Even if it's just a half.

2. All these nonsensical excuses, nobody was talking about before kids starting opting out of bowl games.

3. Let's face it. If Rickie Collins was the backup and not Nuss, NONE of you would be saying this crap. Everybody is only saying this crap because of Nuss. If we had some ho-hum backup QB, many of you would have never said any of this.

If he plays a half he might as well play the whole thing. You want him to risk injury let him do it in garbage time too and protect next year's starter. Nuss handing it off after the half ain't worth shite.

Obviously. If we didn't have next year's likely starter on the team then who gives a shite. Since we do that changes the dynamic to wanting to prepare him before USC.

Very true, but it's the new norm. Josh Pate even suggested moving bowl games to before the next season as a kind of preseason exhibition.
