How did Yeshua handle those disciples who turned from him and followed a different God or placed their faith in no God at all?

I don't recall to many situations like that. He certainly placed alot of emphasis on one's actions over their words, with mercy, justice and God's righteousness being paramount.

I suspect these family members actions may not line up with a followed of Jesus in the first place and thus to judge them as Christian is a exercise in futility.
