Fights Break Out And 75 Arrested As ‘Ceasefire’ Protest Shuts Down Major LA Freeway
Dozens of protesters shut down one of the busiest freeways in Los Angeles on Wednesday, causing huge traffic jams and resulting in multiple altercations and arrests in a demonstration over ceasefire demands from the protest group IfNotNow.
The demonstration organized by IfNotNow, which demands the United States halt support for Israel and has organized other controversial demonstrations, began during rush hour on Wednesday morning, and was quickly caught on thousands of cameras and by news organizations including KTLA and KCAL.
Aerial and on the ground footage from the event shows the group of demonstrators blocking the 110 downtown LA Freeway chanting “ceasefire now!” along with a banner reading, “Permanent Ceasefire: Equality, Justice, Safety For All.”

How do these big city interstate blockades never get rectified by gang members and other thugs?
I wanna see these limp wrists scatter when the Glocks with tha switches get pulled out.

Line up an 18-wheeler in every lane and hit it at 75mph. It'll only need to be done once.
Blocking public thoroughfares should NEVER be tolerated by anyone. Ever.

Why are the cops just standing behind them also blocking the freeway?
I don't understand this whole thing. So it's okay to protest on the interstate and stop commerce, school busses, emergency vehicles? And I assume the people arrest were the ones who were trying to get to work/school/home?

Someone should have just turned their wipers on and said “bad call, brotha.”

Headlines you will never see "Protestors block I-65 in Birmingham." They choose places like LA, Seattle or Portland because they realize they have full support of the like minded leadership in those cities.
Police were probably told to "manage the scene and prevent further escalation" instead of breaking it up. Arrests were probably as you say the irritated and fed up motorists trying to actually do something to remove these idiots.

You missed an opportunity to have a classic thread title:

Do the commuters on I110 have any say on a cease fire?
What about blocking interstate commerce?
Drop 100 more bombs Bibi.

If the 110 is shut down, it’s a major drag for getting into and out of downtown,
I enjoyed living in LA, and I never much trouble with the crazies, even during the Rodney King saga.

Good for CA, they deserved everything they get.

Every state has crazies like this. Their government allows this to happen. The people getting boxed in get what they voted for.

I'm not sure why Americans and Europeans don't understand how to stop this.
KEEP DRIVING.
I'm not saying go 65 and plow through them, as much fun and as deserved as it would be. I'm saying, force the protesters to have the courage of their convictions. Their presence their suggests they'd die for their beliefs. Make them lie down in the road and remain there as people slowly roll over them.
These aren't suicide bombers who'd happily martyr themselves for the cause.. These are mostly well educated white people who protest for social credit and to virtue signal. They will 100% get the frick up rather than get crushed.
Call their bluff.

It is basically an act of war against Americans. Taking out roads is what warring parties do. It is past time to treat this as an act of war by domestic terrorists.

It’s been awhile since I lived there,
but I keep in touch. The West Side is still the West Side.
