Wow. Knew this was coming at some point. Gee I wonder what could prevent him from playing in the game he has worked his whole life for???! How can the timing not be right??

He's a back up QB that thinks he has a starting spot lined up for next year but rules say he has to transfer before the game, or at least not play in it, in January. Believes he will be a back up again next year and may get passed up by third string regardless.
Change the rule to allow kids to play in playoffs/bowls in January and still be eligible in the fall and this issue goes away immediately.
