Next step would be to bring in a sand dredge and fill the tunnels with pumped sand

When I was a kid, we did something similar to this at my grandpa's farm near Welsh. We would put a water hose in the tunnels under the pump house slab to flood out the rats.When the rats made a dash from under the pump house towards the barn it was like a skeet shoot. We were all lined up with shotguns LOL.
