RDR2- i just thought the whole character arc of morgan was well done. his final moments hit.
TLOU1 and 2: 1 for sure, particularly the ending act of the game. i know 2 was controversial but i think it hard to argue to hit a lot of emotional buttons.
god of war (2018): this is very much a product of my time type of effect. to see one of my childhood icons of gaming return in such a way, just ran chills down my spine. Playing through the game and seeing kratos' evolution was fantastic.
Spirit farer: i thought it was a really touching way for a game to cover death, dyeing, and acceptance.
Undertale: i know the game is kinda cliche now, but i think it did it have a lot of poignant and joyous moments.
ori and the blind forest: i honestly dont know why. cute cartoon critter with swelling orchestral music i guess sucker punched me?
plenty of others but those rolled out without much thought.
