Yeah sounds like snipe, they love to do that after a good rain.
I know of guys that have great luck in Kisatchie and to a lesser extend Sherbourne for Woodcock.
I used to be able to get an easy limit in the spillway, but since those back to back hurricane years it has been tough sledding for woodcock.
