Yes he has been contacted, no decision has been made. Eric has a young child and his wife is pregnant. He interviewed for the GA Tech HC position last year. I don't see him coming for the DL position.

What year is it? ??

Not exactly sure why, but apparently, for the calendar year 2023 at least, "of color" is appropriate and "colored" is offensive. That is subject to change or flip flop subject to the whims of the aggrieved.

Aaron Donald has been in the NFL for like 9 seasons and was a phenom since day one. I don’t think any position coach gets to claim credit for his success.

Having Aaron Donald’s coach would be a pretty easy recruiting pitch id imagine….

On the flip side, I could coach Aaron Donald and he would be great.

Does he put tomatoes in his gumbo?

Most people don't know how to cook gumbo, but the complain about what's in it and never know what's really in it. One of the best gumbo cooks I knew put tomatoes in her gumbo. She won every competition she entered.

Thus guy is a great coach and mentor

He has two rookies playing great this yr. One is leading all rookies In sacks I believe.

YouTube link

Just listen to him speak. Future head coach. This is the type kelly should be hiring at lsu.

Needs to do the same at linebacker and db coach.

Yes he is a great guy, I would love if he came to LSU. But he enjoys coaching in the NFL and he wants to become a DC.

Refresh my memory. When did we have Donald’s d line coach before?

Johnson joined the LSU staff after serving as the defensive line coach for the Los Angeles Rams in 2017 and 2018. He helped the Rams reach the Super Bowl in February of 2019. Johnson’s NFL career spans 18 seasons with four organizations – Rams (2017-18), Saints (2009-16), Broncos (2007-08) and Falcons (2001-06).

While with the Rams, Johnson’s standout defensive lineman Aaron Donald was twice named the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year. Donald was also the NFL’s sack leader in 2018 with a league-record 20.5 a year ago. In 2017, Donald became the first player in Rams history to earn NFL Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the first defensive tackle in the league to win the award since 1999.

Would be good if he did… meaning we would lock down New Orleans further.

More real than the Loch Ness Monster but less real than King Arthur.
