Was last year that bad? TCU won their playoff before the final. That makes a big difference. Not every title game in every sport is close. Now, if TCU had lost the semis 65-7 and were controversial getting it, that would be completely different.

Least competitive championship game in memory, if not ever? Yeah, it was that bad.
