Only other options are
Gator Bowl vs #22 Clemson
Texas Bowl vs #20 Ok State

Not sure we were offered a spot in either & NYD bowl is much better.

I like the bowl, just not the opponent.

All the ranked teams around LSU seem to be playing each other while LSU has to get some 5-loss unranked team. It just smells like bullshite to me.

This isn’t the 70s and 80s where you got a bid and got to choose. The SEC office determines which teams go to which bowls (once the NY6 is seated). We were never going back to Orlando for our 3rd time in a year. You could make an argument for the Texas bowl since it’s close and a decent opponent, but I’m guessing they believe that A&M would have more people go to a game in Houston that wouldn’t go to a game in Tampa.

I'm in Jax and would have loved this matchup. We usually go to all the LSU games in florida but this matchup against Wisc is not making me want to go. If Daniels plays then we may go but if he opts out 100% not spending $$ money to watch backups.
