12 teams is stupid. Top 4 get bye's...so the best 4 get a week to rest, avoid injury to play, a Penn St or a Missouri. Thats going to be real fun.

How many teams does the FCS have? That's how many teams should make the playoffs.

With 12 you have more meaningful games. You're still fighting for a bye (1-4), or a first round home game (5-8), or one of the last 4 spots.

But they need to take the committee out of the equation. Just use a transparent formula that rewards winning your conference and punishes losses.

Totally agree. There will never be a perfect playoff system. Teams 17-20 will argue and moan that they deserved the 16th spot. Fans and sports writers will argue to make it 20 teams.
