I was wrong. I meant the house is West of Holly Beach between the Sabine and Calcasieu by Johnson's Bayou

Sabine has zero effect on Cameron parish, the mermentau river does. Cal and Mermentau rivers both turn west when they exit into the gulf as does Sabine.
