...that the Heisman is ALSO a team award
He wrote..and and I quote...
quote:

Haha. Gonna be close. I’m not as up on the stats as you, but
You know, Google is always right....

University success. In addition to personal statistics, and overall team achievements play a heavy role...

I reminded him that the team award is the National Championship and the Heisman is an individual award for the best player in college football..and many on 3 loss teams have been awarded it...he doesn't seem to understand individual achievement. I told him in light of his strong beliefs against individual achievement we would be splitting his commissions in 2024 with he rest of our sales team....

Darn West Coasters and their participation trophies. Here's to Jayden kicking Bo's failed SEC arse...

You’re both right. It 100% should be how you are saying but we have human voters who are biased.

Ask him about the 1,000 extra yards rushing that JD has including the much better passing statistics
To pump Nix over jD is a pathetic joke

I’ve learned over the years that arguments or discussions very seldom change people’s minds. It’s hard to change anyone’s mind.

I’m not a middle manager. I actually just manage myself and sometimes that’s barely

Your friend is a doofus. If indeed the Heisman is a team award, then why give it out so early? Why not wait to see who wins the National Championship and give out the award after the game?

the team success is a factor obviously and it will be close.

an undefeated LSU and daniels wins by the biggest margin ever (over joe margin) ... also, if LSU had 5 losses he would be out. If OR loses this weekend, Bo is out.

Its a bunch of media tools (and Heisman winners) that vote for a top 3 for any reason they want.

Crazy thing is that most of us would make the opposite argument if the roles were reversed. Oregon fans would be clamoring about stats and we would be pushing that as a QB, part of what makes you great is winning.

Has Jayden done enough? Absolutely

Has Bo? Probably, but it’s hard to see it through my purple and gold glasses.

and those OT people would be wrong....Oregon isn't even undefeated and has played a weak schedule.
Just because it would be an opinion doesn't mean its right.

Normally I tend to agree, that team success is a factor. But when you look at LSU specifically, and see how atrocious their defense is, there is a definite glaring reason why LSU has three losses. JD5 didn't lose a game, or fail to bring LSU back, he balled out of his mind every game, except the 4th quarter of the Bama game when he was illegally hit by a player who wasn't ejected for targeting.

Best post on the topic yet! Exactly the way it is. Most people outside of LSU fans haven’t really watched Daniels much since LSU was out of title talk since the Ole Miss game. Nix is still playing and millions will watch him this week in a championship game; if he has a big day and the Ducks win that will be the last thing voters will see. Right or wrong that’s the reality of it.
