This is the most nonsensical part to me. Teams in the championship game will have played in THREE bowl games, plus probably their CCG most years. Two bowls is already overkill imo.

It’d be as close to perfect as it could get if the current format was exactly the same, then just add two earlier rounds at the higher seeded team’s home stadium. The campus atmosphere is what makes college football so unique, I hate that we keep finding ways to take it away.
