There is probably a demand for such housing when priced appropriately but these are waaaaayyyyyy over priced compared to the area they are in.

I would love to know what took place for the county to allow their construction. The surrounding area is mostly typical 3/2 starter row houses. If these things sell for the price they are listed at they will increase the value of homes around them...but more than likely they turn into a blighted and under priced rental community that drives down property prices around them. It is a shame though because if planned appropriately, zoned appropriately and built efficiently and priced accordingly something along the lines of these would make a big difference in some areas.

There is a similar development in Atlanta. When they initially sold those units they had a screening process that focused on why the potential buyer wanted to live in the community. They sold those for a little less than the area price for homes of similar finishes. Within a year everyone had been bought by a investment group that paid cash and turned it into a rental community. Still a nice community because rents are ridiculously high but the initial buyers sold out as soon as the money made it practical LOL.
