You aren't alone in that. George just never has done it for me. Like I said, his best are great obviously, but outside of those few the rest pale in comparison for me.

I think George even alluded to it in an interview one time where he said John and Paul got started a good bit before he did, so they were able to get their "bad songs" out of the way while he was writing some not so great ones during Beatlemania.

But outside of a handful of songs, I don't really care for much of George's work at all.

once you get past "dark horse" (and even before), a listen through george's solo catalog is a difficult ask. banal repetitive lyrics, tired melodies and a general paint by numbers vibe

before then though, masterpieces
