Louisiana is just a bunch of people driving F150s in rain and fog with no headlights at daylight and dusk,
Probably an electrical problem or broken switch. Because Ford.

or GM mid size SUVs with no taillights on.
These are probably absent minded or distracted drivers that think the daytime running lights that are perpetually on serve as headlights. It takes them a while to realize that their entire interior is dark because their headlights aren’t on. Middle aged women are horrible about this.

Also the 4RUnner and Tacoma drivers that forgot they have to turn their headlights on.
Can confirm that Toyota’s branding for these vehicles infers that luxuries like automatic headlights are for sissies and leaves it out of the bulgy, brash 4Runner and FJ Cruiser. In reality they are just being cheap, and have offered this feature on most of their other cars for 20+ years - their marketing tends to aim towards buyers that want an old school truck that feels like a dinosaur. I don’t think the 4Runner even got blind spot detection until last year.

quote:I think it's something with the sensor they use, I just don't think it is as sensitive as other brands after it has started to take some UV abuse. It just seems to be the F series though. Mavericks, Rangers, Expeditions, etc all seem to work fine.

quote:Yep, though I don't even think they had moved the switch on these so once it became part of the routine it was just part of the routine. I assume the ones who have them off are either not the the primary driver or it is their first Toyota form the FJ, 4runner, Tacoma sector.
In reality they are just being cheap
