I would rather roll the dice trying that than get a $9m a year coach who would just be 5-6 more years of 8-4 w/a slow plodding offense that’s boring AF to watch.
I get the reluctance on Stoops. Most LSU fans felt the same way about him last year, as well. However, there are other more experienced guys you can trust your program with. Fisch seems like a gamble, but also seems to have potential. I think Elko would be a solid hire that you wouldn’t have to break the bank for.
This may seem crazy, but I would call Chadwell, who has won on every level with a unique system, before handing the program keys to a position coach who would be learning on the job in the SEC. Like we’ve seen with both O and Pittman, this hands-off CEO model only works if the staff is a perpetual home run. This issue even caught up to Dabo, eventually.

Don't waste your time. Texas A&M won't pull the trigger.

I’m fine w/Elko, Fisch, and Chadwell too.
All I’m saying is if our choice is between Stoops and ERob give me the high risk high reward choice over a guy who’d cost $9million+, would be here a minimum of 5-6 years b/c of his massive contract, and is a virtual guarantee to give us Jimbo level results at nearly the same per year price.
