Looks like just a car speeding and gas tank blew up.

Does that spontaneously happen very often? There are how many cars passing through the border every day, yet I've never heard of one spontaneously exploding just as it passed through the border checkpoint.

And how would a car bomb vs. an exploding gas tank look, in your opinion?

The video linked didn’t appear to be a “large explosion” as others are saying. Hopefully there are more videos. We shall see.

Spontaneously? The car flew 40 or 50 feet in the air and landed in a pool of concrete columns, buildings, and barricades at what looks to be 100mph+.

They look very different I’ve seen car bombs where they had us looking for pieces of a finger. That right here you’re gonna find the whole body mostly intact based on the footage.

Mostly in John Woo movies and his mom's basement.

At first blush I thought it to be a car bomb. As I got to see more video, the car flying through the air and a close up of the fire, I believe it to be some kind of strange car wreck. The gas tank was ruptured on impact and a large fire ensued. The fire I saw was like a spreading liquid fire and the smoke was from petroleum products.

My background is 33 years in chem. plant fire brigade + 25 years in V.F.D. and HAZMAT.

Check out the posts of the last few days in the Fail gifs thread on the OT. There’s a fine example of it over there.
