That looks accurate, if it was in the wrong lane, then the angles from the video camera make sense. That also explains the eye witness (an older gentlemen I wouldn't think would be confused as to which way Canada is).
The gentleman also said car launched into air right before exploding. So it looks like it hit an embankment.

direction of travel, towards canada..yellow spot hits and launches, lands and blows up under the awning..video camera position records it.
