That's how they started their career. Please Please Me came along a few years after they initially got together. One of their biggest hits, Twist and Shout, was a cover of an Isley Bros. cover.

Their version of Please Mr. Postman will always be a personal favorite of mine.

Their cover of the Broadway tune "Til There Was You" is sublime - even moreso the live version on Anthology.
