Ford didn’t need a bailout in 2008-2009. The only domestic auto company not to need one. They ran an ad to that effect and were crucified by Obama administration. Forced to stop advertising and take bailout money.
Our government sucks. The problem is we put them there by voting and cheating for those lying rat bastards.

Typical uninformed OT poster.
The fact of the matter is Ford was in the worst shape of the Big3 and mortgaged the entire company, including the blue oval, to inject needed capital PRIOR to the economic meltdown.
GM and Chrysler had to get government backed loans, that they repaid with interest, due to the credit markets being locked up during the meltdown.
Just a quick simplified summary that no one here will remember in 2 minutes.
