You guys have such recency bias. JD5 is a clear cut top 3 QB all time for LSU. However, to even mention him with Burrow is blasphemy. In what game that meant anything did JD5 come through.
FSU - played awful in 2nd half
Ole Miss - threw terrible interception that got them back into game.
Alabama - drive stalled, interception, injured.
Meanwhile Joe beat the shite out of every team he played, and did it in about 7 games that really meant something. At no point did Joe flounder like JD5 has.
Additionally, Joe had fricking Ed O as his coach vs CBK. Also Joe had Steve Ensminger as the OC.
Again JD5 is a good QB who may get some playing time in the NFL, but Joe may be the best college QB ever and if he can get healthy could end up being an all time NFL QB.

That’s the thing, when our D was hurt and playing awful in 2019 Burrow kicked it into another gear and put up ridiculous point totals. He was 4-0 vs opponents that scored 30 or more points against us averaging 53.8ppg in those instances. JD is 3-3 averaging 39.3ppg in those instances this season. Not a knock on JD, 39ppg is still incredible but Joe was able to take his game to another level when the situation called for it.
