Chauvin didn't kill him, but he was an over the top a-hole and optics play more than facts.

This is the logical and most likely conclusion, but it doesn't play into either narrative, so no one cares unfortunately

You are the a-hole for making such an uneducated statement. He was on the call with two officers who were brand new. The situation was textbook for the technique. He performed the restraint trchnique to perfection on an arrestee who was ODing and four officers, two of whom were fresh from the academy,
went to prison for doing exactly what they were instructed to do

Exactly. The indifference and smugness caught on video convicted him, facts be damned.

I think they knew each other as well (worked at the same club or something). I thought the whole thing was fishy from the get go ... almost like a set up to make Floyd out to be a martyr.
