Carter Smith commits to Michigan

And it's not Bryce Underwood. Have to think this leaves it as LSU alone at the top with everybody else trying to play catch up. This bodes well for us as Sloan and Denbrock have been relentless in their pursuit of him.

Its certainly not a negative. It might not scare off Bryce but it at least shows Michigan is not confident in landing him right now

It likely won't "scare" him off per se but it's certainly is a massive display of what Michigan thinks of their chances.

Isn't Bama in his final list?

Bama is likely to get MacIntyre and have shifted their efforts there for the most part.

I like it, but Saban is always capable of ripping our guts out just when we think things are good. Beware.

I want to say they have the #1 QB/player from 2024, Julian Sayin, committed as well.

Yeah, I knew I'd get DV'd for asking the question, but you can never count out the angry elf. I do think the staff has done a great job recruiting Underwood though and we are in a great spot to land him.

To be more accurate a 2025 QB because they already have Davis committed for 2024.

Michigan stated that they are taking two qbs for 2025. Saying that I still think we win out with Underwood.

I'd be thrilled if LSU landed Underwood and they got MacIntyre--seen how skinny MacIntyre is?

To be fair MacIntyre would add weight within 1st 2 yrs at Bama. He probably wouldn't see the field to 2027 or 28 anyway. Great example Archie was skinny and has added weight not a full season a Texas. These staffs not planning to play these players right out the gate.

Bama is on the Top 5 of like 80 of the top 100 players, so, while annoying, it means nothing (by itself).

That’s casting a wide net right there. Guess it helps to have a staff of like 800
