House will go back to the NFL. He didn't even want to come back this season. Kelly had to talk him into returning.

Is that LSU excuses for having a bad defense? LSU lost 3 games because of poor defense. That is on Kelly who should have made sure House got the defensive players ready and know what to expect on other team's offense. Stoops is a defensive coach. He was able to do it the right way with House. Kelly? Not so much.

House isn't the problem. It is Kelly who isn't helping to get the football program to be ten team so far. How much longer will he need to prove he can hire the right coaching staff to get it done. Orgeron did it. He was fired 2 years after winning it all. Kelly is struggling to find the right coaches to get it done. He hired House and he failed and that is on Kelly with many years of HC experience. Nick Saban is still able to get it done and had to keep finding a replacement or two and he is back on top. How did he do it? He knows how to coach and find the right assistants to get it done. Many on here said he could find a good OC and/or DC to get back to being a top 10 team. LSU fans sure made a fool of themselves.

So it’s ultimately on the head coach is your point. Great, unique analysis.

Everyone knows that, and still House is the problem. Along with defensive assistants and talent.

Kelly is in year 2. So how much longer does he need to “figure it out”? Idk, but people with a brain will give last year 2. Saban fired his DC after year 1 in Alabama.

He still only lost 2 games! That is what I am talking about. Kelly couldn't get it done at Notre Dame. and had top notch assistants and still losing 3 to 4 games at LSU. How much longer will it be before LSU gives up on Kelly if he goes 5 years without winning a championship? I never did like the Kelly hired due to being like Georgia last HC before hiring Kirby who won bunch of games but no championship. Another coach I never like is Lame Kiffin. He is good but if he goes to Alabama I would wait and see but wouldn't be surprised to see him not get it done there either.

Oh, how come some LSU wanted Baker as the next LSU DC? Kelly whiff on retaining him. Drinkwitz didn't know if he would be ready to take over as the DC but once he got him as a linebacker/cornerback coach and talked to him a bit he was better than the one he has on the staff and then he was promoted right away after the DC was pushout to take an NFL coaching job. Kelly could have had Baker but pass on him and do you think Baker would come back and take the job? I don't think so because Kelly pass on him.

Kelly got rid every coach except 1. And yes, if LSU wants to hire Blake Baker, LSU will hire Blake Baker.

Al Golden is running Marcus Freeman's defense. Beware of coordinators in this position.

He would be a great choice and the storm clouds over Ann Arbour just keep getting heavier by the week.

Was allegedly BK's first choice when he got here. From what I can tell, we'd double his salary if we paid him what House is getting.

I know he also runs a zone-heavy scheme. If it’s as overly-complicated as House’s, then no thanks.

Your HC didn't even keep him on the team!

LB is his primary position to coach and that is House’s position group. BK could have kept him and moved him to coach Safeties, but he went with someone he knew, as most head coaches do when filling out their staff.

People keep making a big deal about this, but it happens all the time in coaching. Most position coaches aren’t retained during a transition and sometimes head coaches make decisions that people probably don’t appreciate at the time. For example, Kelly once demoted Denbrock at Cinci and basically pushed him out the door. He was gone the next offseason. Yet here he is at LSU today.

A couple of years and a pay raise smooths things like this over really fast.

Word salad special of the day.

Yeah, Kelly’s offensive staff really fricking sucks, right?

As for House, it didn’t work. I’m sure the fact that he had a top 10 defense at UK was a big reason for the interest in him. That said, look at the 3 DCs Kelly hired before House. Elko, Lea and Freeman. All three are still head coaches and one of them is already in a good spot to move up.

You are a fricking idiot.
