S/O and I are looking for an extended weekend preferably a Cabin via Airbnb. We want to do some hiking, scenery, & be somewhat close to some restaurants/breweries or wineries.
Is Blue Ridge, Ga recommended on this board for this sort of thing?
Thanks!

Blue Ridge is awesome. We're spending the week in a rental cabin soon.
This is the one we got:

Blue Ridge is great. Look anywhere from Ellijay, to Cherry Log, Blue Ridge, or Mineral Bluff.

We’ll be just south of blue ridge near cherry log next week

Love that area. We stayed just outside of Ellijay.
Wolf Mountain vineyard is worth a stop. Check out the Swinging River bridge (super short hike).

Blue Ridge & environs are highly recommended with a caveat - confirm the drive to the cabin. Many places say they’re 5 minutes from this or 3 miles from that but the access turns out to be challenging or lengthy with narrow switchbacks or mountain goat inclines -and that’s just the driveway. I’ve driven in Colorado snowstorms that were less intimidating than some of the N Georgia back roads.

Thanks for all the recommendations!
I’m thinking around February would be the best time for us. How likely is snow?

Snow is unlikely but certainly possible. Weather is pretty unpredictable that time of year. Could be 60 could be 20. I would try for later in the month if possible. If you are interested in doing a float trip down the Toccoa River to try some fly fishing or just a scenic float let me know and I’ll send you some contact of an outfitter I know in Blue Ridge.

Scenic Float is something we would both be interested in. If you could share the contact that would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Float North Georgia. Check out the website. Ask for Zac.

Same can be said for any place in the mountains. I've had some rough ones in the Smokies as well.
