It sounds terrible, but what is really wild about it? Nothing seemed to move as a result.

What you're hearing are the sounds of a magma channel forming under, or very near to, that house. That's lava, molten rock, eating away at the ground beneath the house/city as it flows beneath the surface. There's a very real possibility that a volcanic fissure could open up anywhere along that channel.

The sounds are spooky or wild not because of the immediate damage associated with them, but for what they could bring. It is sort of like the sounds the Graboids made in Tremors before one eventually burst through the surface of the Earth to snack on some poor redneck who couldn't stay still.

The magma channel and the potential associated fissure are the reason the city of Grindavic was evacuated.
