Just wanted to bump this thread to shout out tigerforever. Baw your advice in this thread was game changing. Got myself a group policy now. Went from paying $2100/month for a terrible $6500 deductible 60/40 plan to now paying $1800 for a $4500 deductible 100/80 plan. You the man, saving me $3600/year and much better coverage to boot!

With subsidies involved, I wouldn’t know price differences. What I mean by group is you set up a company sponsored plan. And through group policies, you can pay all premium pre tax as a business expense.
