How is this US vs UK barfight getting me more patriotic than the actual dogfights?
Getting through episode 2. About halfway through. Enjoyed episode 1 and what I've seen of 2 so far.
I didn't expect to see this episode's nod to the others that made the whole thing work besides those in the plane - ground crews, repairmen, intelligence officers, ordinance crews etc. I appreciate that aspect as it was something I wasn’t even considering.
Also had no idea they used flare guns to signal each other mid flight

the flare guns during low visibility to keep them in formation was something I never knew was a thing
the British would do nightime runs and drop bombs blindly with no way of knowing if they actually hit anything
the usa pilots went during day to hit actual targets to help ground troops and making sure supplies were able to get to britain - I think that was the whole deal with the bar fight
you had to be strategic for any chance to succeed in d day and other campaigns

I enjoyed that aspect as well. I wonder at what point a B-17 was declared totaled because they talked about patching up some forts that looked worse than Swiss cheese?
