I just helped my buddy plan their bachelor trip for Auburn where they stayed in NOLA then came up for the game and I can share with you what I told them and feedback.
I'll update when I'm back at my computer but I'll tell you right now, Shaq/DJ Diesel is $120 per person and although it's fun it will be a very long night and you'll have a very long Saturday if you stay up to see him play.

As mentioned Friday night do as you please. L'Auberge is fun and Better Than Ezra is a good band. DJ Diesel is a lot of fun too, he plays almost exclusively hardstyle.
Saturday: Rouse's should still have foam disposable coolers for cheap. You can grab two and some ice and load up with whatever you want to drink. You can go hard liquor or beer. Recommend local beer from the following, since it's always fun to try local brews:
Urban South
Tin Roof
Agile
Rally Cap
Gnarly Barley
Parish
Park by the UREC and work your way to the LSU Bookstore. Possibly buy some merch. You'll be across the street from the LSU Parade Grounds and you'll see quite a bit. At some point around 4pm you'll want to make your way to Victory Hill which is just behind the Indian Mounds. The band will march and perform there before going to the PMAC.
I will shamelessly push @zrau and his tailgate. They charge $5 for food, $10 for food & beer, while occasionally handing out shots from time to time. Dude can COOK. I believe they're making alligator sauce piquant that day, but I could be wrong.
