yeah I think Stowe is more our speed than Burlington. I appreciate all the advice from everyone please keep it coming

the idea is to catch 2-3 great days each in VT, Montréal and upstate NY. This is my first time to NE outside of Boston and providence

If your trip starts in VT (from RI) then north to Montreal, then back south to parts NY, I might even suggest bypassing NY and heading south in to ME, it’ll be gorgeous (and relatively quiet) early spring (someplace like Bar Harbor or Camden) and then in to NH w/ a stop in somewhere like Portsmouth. That’ll make your drive back down to RI much easier.

Not trying to dissuade you from upstate NY, just a thought.
