It will only help the environment. All the old heads can be upset. It wont hurt the experience at all.

Thank G_d. The sound system is awful in the NEZ. I honestly don't know if the DJ sucks as much as everybody says because it's just a rumbling sound that shakes the stadium and hurts the ears.

I am all for it and we should do even more to increase the crowd experience and help recruiting.

These are the same ones that yell at folks for standing up during the game then turn around and bitch about the stadium atmosphere

This is not new, the early leavers are generally students and younger fans with kids. Us oldsters generally stay the who
I'm 61 and left a tad early for the Army game. How early? I was outside the stadium and heard the announcer calling the Trey Holly run for a TD.

We stayed to the end of the Army game. By the time we got back to the parking lot they had already shut down the contraflow.

They are marketing to a different crowd. You could see it in BDS on Saturday. The crowd that buys tickets, especially the cheap seats next to the visiting sections in the upper levels is not your traditional SEC football crowd. With attendance dropping across the board, schools are marketing to different groups. Not a good thing. Saw more problems in one trip to BDS than I've seen 4 previous trips combined.

Yep. The Nissan Altima driving, 32 years old still hanging out at clubs till 3AM, doing keybumps in the bathroom, flatbills and gamers crowd.

I find it a little funny that the LED lights thing is controversial at all. The stadium will eventually have to switch to LED lights one way or another, as the bulbs for the current lights will eventually be unavailable. I believe that was the deal at Jordan-Hare - they couldn’t get bulbs anymore and had to make the switch.

So if a program like LSU is going to have to absorb this huge cost anyway, they aren’t going to say “just give me the plain white LEDs.” They are going to go ahead and buy multicolor LEDs with controllers etc.

I’m just glad they are finally upgrading the sound system.

They just replaced the sound system in 2013 with some of the most advanced speakers out there for throwing sound extremely long distances

it has a total system power of over 300,000W with extremely efficient horn designs

the manufacturer of the system has a wide client list with a few of them being Lambeau Field, Mercedes Benz Stadium, and Bryant-Denny

Which makes it excruciating for people sitting near them. The sound system is so loud in the NEZ it's physically painful to me.

Yeah, the Danley system is really great. I think the biggest issue is that it is originating from the NEZ and just shooting directly across to the giant wall of reflection in the SEZ. They need to fix that, not sure how though without an array hanging in the middle or a bunch of satellites all over the field but then you have a nightmare dealing with syncing, and that is expensive.

How about we focus a little more on getting the defense better than some led lights in the stadium?

While they are making the upgrades they need to improve the WiFi system in tiger stadium...it sucks really bad and I think it contributes to the student section emptying after half time cuz students phones are dying and they can't communicate with their friends on facebook or twitter...there's a company out of Lafayette that upgraded the WiFi service at Ole Piss and they can have everyone in stadium with 5G service at the same time....infolink-usa is name of company! While we improving lets take care of everything...

LED's are nice and all, but reckon we could get some new defensive coaches?
