BS. There are many QBs making millions of dollars who never won a Heisman.
He most probably isn't going to win the Heisman no matter, even if he does deserve it.

Let the doctors decide if JD can play. If not 100% then
play Nuss. But with 3 losses, I think we need to start playing more like the bowl game to start preparing Nuss for the future
If Nuss had played the bowl game his freshman year, Daniels might not even be here. Kid had a golden opportunity for 3+ weeks of starting QB practice and a full game as starter, but decided to sit out. Thing about it that still irks me is that he would have had 3+ years here or anywhere else, and chose not to take the extra reps and live game reps. Don't get me wrong, him staying is a blessing for LSU for at least next year (he could be one and done if he wanted), but he put himself in this predicament.

No coach worth his weight would play a backup if the starter is ready to go, and no starter worth his weight would sit out if he was able to go. Neither Kelly or JD strike me as a guy who would give up unless it were that bad. My hope as a fan is that Daniels is so damn good and the other team offenses are so damn bad, that Daniels can sit out every fourth quarter the rest of the way, and Nuss can just practice for 4 quarters (bowl game included).

He needs a little over 1200 pass yards (300 per game) to reach 4000 and 13 TDs to reach 40. He needs 316 rush yards (80 per game) to reach 1000 and 4 TDs to reach 10.

The coaches already know what they have in Nussmeier. They see him in practice every week. If he can't make the right reads in practice, as he certainly can't in spot duty, then he is not very good. And if he can, then they know they have their guy, and they will get him ready in the Spring and Fall. In the mean time, he's seen enough action that he won't get stage fright against USC.

Kelley said during the presser that Nuss needs to clean things up during practice and that he is aware of that. Sounds like Nuss needs to up his focus and practice habits if he wants to be the starter, a bit surprising for a YR 3 guy that wants to be the 2024 starter.

Dunno. Brennan had a pretty good few games until he was injured in 20. He was kicked out the door.

Of course he is

1) Nothing tops real game reps, nerves

2) He probably looks like Joe Montana against our defense in practice

Not a bad idea to start Nuss vs Florida and Georgia State.

Daniels back for A&M. We already know Daniels is a baw. He has nothing else to prove.

**would love to see daniels back this weekend

Would the defense giving up 52 points have anything to do w said loss?

BK threw the season away by not having a complete team. What will it hurt now?

I agree. I hope we dont rush Jayden back if hes not 100% ready. This would be the perfect game to see what we have in Nuss by letting him start and finish this game. Florida isnt elite but would be a nice challenge

Give JD5 2 weeks off to be safe.

If ever there was a year to beat the Gaytors with a backup QB, this is it.

Yes! Let's abandon our Heisman candidate and the sole reason we have been as good as we are. Good idea!

If JD can play then play him. But if there is any doubt then I agree sit him and let Nuss have the opportunity to showcase his talent and development.

Considering JD's playing style, you have to be very careful here. A second concussion is more likely if you have had one recently. Play Nuss, and win with the running game. You have four legit runningbacks on the roster. Use them. That was the big offensive failure against Bama. They failed to establish the run (other than JD).

losses to Florida who is fricking trash and to Aggy who is maybe one step above trash.

They're both trash. Even with LSU's problems on defense neither of these teams are good enough to beat the Tigers on most Saturdays.
