It’s a 100% certainty that Kelly is going to bring in a transfer to at least compete and that person is going to most likely be another mobile QB that can run. Denbrock prefers mobile QB and as much as I love Nuss for sticking around in a time when kids leave after one year of not playing we have witnessed what a QB that can run adds to an offense. I’ll be rooting for Nuss but he’s going to have to win the job against some QB out there that probably has more game experience than Nuss does.

Nuss threw off his back foot 80% of the time last night. Not good

He might be. But we’ll likely bring in competition and he’ll have to beat him out.

If he is, we are in deep do-do!

Who knows. Not sure what BK really thinks of him. Really need defensive help.

Yea that surprised me. I would like time to evaluate Nuss with first team reps and a game plan that plays to his strengths than judging him coming in down 2 scores in a hostile environment in a position he has to be perfect.

You know what he at least did, threw the ball and didn’t get sacked on 4th.

Well, Nuss is probably going to get an early, legit audition next Saturday night.

That kid didn’t practice all week with the #1s. You expect him to be perfect in that situation? Bama didn’t respect the run cause lsu had to pass. He was in a no win scenario.

There's a big difference between a guy taking 1st team reps and preparing to be the starter than a guy who prepared as a back up. Nuts has the tools. With an e tire offseason getting on the sane page as his receivers, and preparing g to be the starter during game weeks, he could ve really good.

Nuss doesn't impress me much. His mechanics appear to need some work. What's he going to look like when it's time to manage a game, make some touch throws rather than just fireball down field while floating backwards.

Idk. He's got some work to do this off season.

Is he close enough to graduating where he can do what Burrow and JD did and take minimal classes and live in the film room?

I worry that he’s a Jeff George type QB ( not the a-hole personality) in that he has a great arm and thinks that’s all he needs.

He has looked horrible every time he’s gotten into a game this season.

I HOPE we have another QB next year.

Yea he was trash against Grambling and Army. JD5 had 5 years to get to this level and last year really only made plays with his legs.

Give the kid a chance, he has a gun for an arm and has played in limited games. There will be a learning curve, like every QB that starts for the first time in D1

JD was pretty damn good at 18 years old. And has been for most of the 5 years after that. Whatever Nuss is he needs the reps and the offense that accentuates his skills.

Ricky Collins or whoever else they can find in the Daniels mold. That's what BK/Denbrock want as their QB, dual threats as opposed to pure passers.

I don't. He doesn't fit the scheme, and is a pure pocket passer.
