The secondary is playing with true freshman and transfers from lower tiered schools...The greatest indicator of what LSU's LB's and secondary IS was displayed when Milroe steamrolled the DB on the sideline. LSU has an elite, historic offense loaded with 4 star and 5 star studs. The defense is not...Besides Perkins and Smith, who else are 4 or 5 star? Great defenses tackle well...LSU does not. Couple all of this with the fact that the best secondary player, who happens to be the signal caller in the secondary, is out with a brain tumor. To be great, you must replace elite talent with elite talent...LSU does not have that element on defense...painfully disappointing fact...
