I've seen an investigation based on someone asking the poster if the deer pictured was killed on a WMA. They checked to see if the deer was checked out of the WMA, it was not because it was not killed there. But they used that info to track down the guy, question him, and used it to question others in the private lease where it was killed. Fortunately the Warden was understanding and issues a few warnings for minor stuff. The whole tagging system we use is screwed up. There is info that needs to be included on the kill sheet, your license etc that there are no places in either to put it. you have to jot it along the top etc. Any tagging system that you can print and copy your own tags is useless and those that choose to can make their way around it.
