I don’t think this will happen in the near future. Broome or whoever replaces her will not want to give up authority over BRPD, which will be required if the entire parish is given to EBRSO. To be honest, I’m not sure if EBRSO would even want to cover the city limits. I’m sure the added funding would be nice, but the city is a minefield of headaches.
