I agree with this but Miles also inherted the Louisiana recruiting advantage. Could pretty much pull at least 7 or 8 of the top recruits from the state. BK doesnt even have that currently With NIL. LSU better get that recruiting budget up because right now We are not there with the bama's and UGa's in the SEC when it comes to talent.

After reading all this crap, still can’t wrap my head around this one… I also considered it, but I grew up and have a firm grasp of reality. Riley will NEVER hire a competent DC. He doesn’t care. He would never have done so at LSU and you’d now be complaining about being boatraced or blown out the SEC defenses.

Those teams went a combined 42-1, no one beat them except Johnny Football, the eventual Heisman winner. 2018 Clemson beat Alabama worse than they did Notre Dame.
But BK is somehow a bad coach simply because he didn't beat some teams that no one else beat either.
I would argue that Notre Dame is frequently overrated and got in some postseason matchups vs elite teams that they had no business playing.

Was a great coach until the debacle in the NC vs Alabama. He never recovered and simply became a "good" coach after that. Capable of winning 10 games but not one to lead to continuous NC appearances.

When I said BK has a track record of losing big games, I was referring to his record vs ranked teams. Personally I consider those to be games vs top 10 teams. In those games which BK coached ND, BK was 4-11. I completely agree with you that the teams they played in the CFP and BCSNCG game losses were on a whole different level & would have likely beaten any team so lets remove those 2 losses. 4-9 vs top 10 competition (excluding the CFP and BCSNCG game losses).
Is that record acceptable? Does it warrant $95,000,000?
BK is now 2-3 vs top 10 teams here @ LSU. Only time will tell if he does better or worse.

Personally I think it's crazy to pay anyone that kind of money, but that's the world we live in now & that's why ticket prices are going up next year.

It wasn't simply a coincidence that the kid got up there on his own & had an accident. Brian Kelly made the call to send the kid up on that lift in tropical storm force winds. People make mistakes & I'm sure this one haunts BK.

Totally agree on that point. Salaries for football coaches are outrageous
Having said that you also noted that smart and Saban aren’t coming bc smart is a UgA guy and Saban is 75 or whatever. Dabo isn’t playing the NIL game and you’re seeing how that’s going

Realistic candidates only. Urban isn’t coaching again due to health and all the shite that came out about him so he’s a nonstarter as well.

Saints fans don't like dennis allen. How is me being an LSU fan & not liking BK any different?
I don't know why you guys have such a hard time with another persons opinion.
It is my opinion that BK will lose more games vs teams ranked in the top 10 than he will win here at LSU. If I'm wrong, I'll gladly own it. He is currently 2-3, so I'm correct as of now. Let's see how the next few years turns out.
