Bama had the #13 defense in 2019 and Clemson had the #3 defense. Hung 40 on both. The point is - even the best defenses cannot stop elite offenses when they are going full throttle.
In 2019 there was this strange feeling you'd get trying to explain to future opponents' fans how LSU's offense was going to hang a lot of points on them. You almost felt guilty: "how do I explain this without it sounding like I'm disrespecting your defense, because I'm not.."

I would estimate about thirty. Alabama is going to, IMO, run the ball and run clock, eliminating our opportunity to score a lot of points.

I know it gets old hearing this...but it really depends on the zebras.

I expect to get penalized on critical downs. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but I've seen it way too many times.

Lol you see how he took out Ole Miss and TAMU scoring when they didn't play Bama to see what they averaged in SEC play outside of Bama, but didn't take out the SEC team defenses averages if they didn't play LSU? He decided to leave that out to make a stupid case.

Here's one point I can easily make that throws his half assed points away. Texas came to Bama, and put 34 points on Bama's head with crowd noise and everything. That same Texas team has only scored more than 31 points 3 times outside of Bama. One was 34 to Rice, 38 to Baylor, and 40 vs Kansas. Just to show you even more what their offense is, they only scored 31 vs Wyoming and 31 vs Houston.

Outside of the nonsense of LSU's defense, Ole Miss hasn't put up more than 28 points vs any other SEC defense. The fact that he uses their offensive average with us added, but doesn't do it without our defense added to show the true disparity, is high tier trash observation.

Couple more key things.

- LSU put 49 on Ole Miss with 3 dropped TDs, Bama put up 24
- LSU put up 34 on Arkansas, and it would have been 38, but LSU decided the best way to win was to milk the clock and kick a FG instead of just scoring a TD. Bama with all their might, put up 24.

I want everybody who is curious to take 10 minutes and remove LSU's offense vs Mizzu, Auburn, and Arkansas, and see where they rank defensively after. Scoring and total defense.

how'd that work out for Auburn

I think many of you haven't watched Bama this year. They don't have a good run game or OL. Their best bet is to attack this defense in the passing game.

If we score a TD every possession we win.

Good attempt by the article to cope with what’s about to happen to their defense. The game tempo will dictate our score because they won’t stop us much. Just depends if our D can keep them from time consuming drives.

If we end up in the 30’s, we are losing. This isn’t the Auburn or Army offense.
