!! I am not the owner !! I really just want to spread the word because people need to know about Croissant and I haven't seen any talk of them on TD.

This place is the real deal when it comes to anything baked. Apple turnover is possibly 15 super thin layers of pastry wrapped around an awesome apple filling. They usually have no less than 15 fresh baked options daily and specials mixed in. Their FB page has some great pics..

Now I’m even less convinced you’re not involved with that pizza place.

Like I said in the other thread, I'm a lurker but if there is an awesome place that doesn't get a mention then I want to spread the word. It would be horrible if for some reason these places didn't make it and I'd have to go elsewhere, lol. As we know the restaurant business is tough! Especially on the Northshore..

You must be involved with some kind of northshore tourism or you are running their socials

You have all of 15 posts about places on the north shore no one has heard of nor would most people go out of the way for.

As previously mentioned, I really haven't ever posted here but decided to share a couple places that some people would enjoy going out of their way for. If people want to ignore the recommendation they can do that as well.

Not posting before doesn’t mean you don’t have some kind of vested interest since now all of a sudden you decided to start posting.

I go to mandeville often (little brother lives there, a close friend and my parents have a boat there) and may end up trying these places but it certainly won’t be because of your 2 threads

And you still haven’t denied having a vested interest

Eta: I’m sure it’s also just coincidence that you all of a sudden start posting, make your first thread about a pizza place then the owner just so happens to find this site, create a name and start posting too

What is your most overrated restaurant in Mandeville that you will never step foot in again?

I do not have a vested interest in either of these.. I wish I did! The owner only posted because I went by the restaurant and told him that I put a post on here. I put the pictures of the pizza we had that night on the thread. I’m sure he just wanted to get on and see what people were saying.

It’s amusing that everyone wants to investigate just because a lurker makes one of his first posts.

I’ll go back to lurking fellas, have a good one. I’m sure the trolls are coming. ??

I'm not a fan of Pyre by the trailhead.. I know many are but the brisket is always dry and their totchos cheese sauce really turned me off. The first time I had the ribs there I couldn't separate them with a butter knife they were so tough. The location is great but the food is not for me.

Welcome to TD I guess. I can't imagine being so miserable in life that someone posting reviews of restaurants on a food board would be met with such derision and ridicule. Some of the replies in this thread are outright embarrassing.

Friend,

Thank you for the review and recommendation! For most of my life, a fear of bridges prevented me from traveling to the Northshore, but on a trip to California three years ago this month, Mother experimented with exposure therapy. Bridges still are not my friends, but I will not allow them to prevent me from exploring.

There was a dramatic shift in the atmosphere of TD in January of 2021, and since that time, a fume of umbrage and outright hostility has permeated almost every board, even the Food Board. It seems, that for now, the Travel Board, is safe. Those who care about this board welcome and thank you for your words and suggestions.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

I tried them when they opened, quite expensive, I had a much better croissant at Zoe's and in addition it was 50% bigger for about the same price.

This place is decent, but severely overpriced. It was almost $20 for a baguette and 2 croissants.
