I agree. But the last two illiterate coaches won Big 6 bowl games within their first two years and had great recruiting classes to build great teams moving forward. Right now Kelly is on pace to do none of that. I'm pulling for him to get on track, but right now I see some issues.

Hell, he may very well plateau at 10 wins a year for all I know. But NOTHING you can point to shows BK to be anything other than a top 5ish program builder in the country.
it honestly makes me wonder, what other coach's track record would you rather have at LSU? just think back to when he was hired...people were clamoring for Lincoln Riley, jimbo fisher, and Dave aranda.

Kelly took over an 6-7 LSU team which had 32 scholarship players which was annialated in Texas Bowl playing a wide receiver at QB.
In his first year, he coaches LSU to 10 wins, wins a New Year’s Day bowl game, wins the SEC West and went into final regular season weekend the number 5 team in country knocking on the playoff door.
In his second year, going into November, he has LSU in a position to win the Sec West again , finish very high in top 10, and make a run at playoff again.
Has it been perfect? No.
But, there are 123 Division 1 college football teams including 12 SEC teams that would love to be that “mediocre”.
In his first year, he coaches LSU to 10 wins, wins a New Year’s Day bowl game, wins the SEC West and went into final regular season weekend the number 5 team in country knocking on the playoff door.

Has a good shot at back to back ten win seasons. Even if LSU drops another game and wins the bowl, that’s 10-3. Haven’t had that kind of consistency in years.
