For 36k and 36 months the BMW is free. If she is actually paying for maintenance (maybe not based on the tax issue in the OP) she can find a local Indy shop that specializes in the brand she chooses and save a lot of money. Wedge Keyes in BR for BMW is an easy choice for example.
I have owned at least one German car for the last 30 years and have never taken them to the dealership for anything but complimentary maintenance or repairs/TBs/recalls.
