They should start saying “their democracy,” not your/American democracy. They mean their power

It literally makes no sense that people having the ability to elect someone to represent them being a threat to democracy. That is the definition of democracy.
So it’s their power, democrats, “their democracy” that is threatened by republican candidates being elected. Your power as a people is a threat to their power

Eh, plenty of African and South American dictatorships started with someone who won an election legitimately and they never walked away.
