I’ve been looking at larger SUV’s and have not looked too much at the Sequoia. Good looking vehicle. Anyone have any insight on this SUV?

Expensive
3rd row doesn’t lay flat so you lose storage space

Very good looking ride tho

They have these panels that can be raised to the same level in the back as the 3rd row so you can have level storage plus room underneath. Pretty cool workaround

Was looking heavily into these but ultimately decided for new 4Runner.

Consider a Grand Highlander instead.

You can buy two 4Runners for the price of a Sequoia.

Or a 4Runner and a bass boat

Toyota is going the way of the American and European auto manufacturers. Dropping 2 cylinders and putting a turbo on top. One of the primary reasons Toyota has such excellent resale value is because they have primarily produced naturally aspirated engines that require little maintenance and have great reliability and longevity. They are phasing out their 8 cylinder engines for smaller turbocharged ones and the new sequoia is one of the first. Gives me the sads.

They fricked us on taking away the 3.5 v6 option from the Sienna. I was buying another one until I found out they are now hybrid only.

Service guy at my local dealership told me this week they have already done multiple engine and turbo replacements. Sounds like they had a lot of post Covid era substitute parts due to supply chain issues.

He told me to hang on to the 4R.

I saw the orange TRD Sequoia at a festival this weekend which made me ask. It didn’t seem THAT much bigger/better than the 4Runner.

Right now Stellantis has an over abundance of Grand Cherokees and Wagoneers (NOT Grand Wagoneers). They are discounting deeply. The money you save upfront will probably be more than the 100k maintenance cost delta between the two. Get the extended Jeep warranty from a dealer online for $700 or so and you're GTG.

One of the best engines ever mass produced.

I’ve read that the new land cruiser will only be available with a turbo 4 cylinder. Pretty sure they’ve only ever been offered with the v8. Pretty unbelievable.
