Most people are fooled by the media because they by default want to be fooled. They are willfully uncritical of pretty much anything that fits into their original world view.

This might be excusable if you had a legitimate media. But in a world where pretty much every media outlet is brazen about their bias, you should definitely pause anytime information without obvious evidence is given to you by aa media outlet that you already know caters to your default worldview.
