I have been contacted by an investment bank out of Denver offering an extremely attractive price per acre for our farm. Someone is driving up the price of farmland and there aren’t any farmers that can afford the new new price.
Almost across the board, row crop land is a max 4% return before tax and expenses. There is zero way for these investment banks to turn a profit at the prices they are paying.
