I think about Brandon Lafell and the drops that he had for what seemed like an entire half a season or more. Doucet and Byrd were the alpha WRs at the time and Lafell was trying to make his name as WR3 but kept having awful drops, some even bouncing right off his hands and into the defender's for a pick.

He eventually got it together and once he grew out of his case of the dropsies became a very productive receiver for us as his career went on. Caught a TD over Malcolm Jenkins in the title game by the end of 07 IIRC. I'd love to see Lacy have a similar career progression. Maybe this past game can be a launching point after rebounding from that drop.

I thought the same thing as I read this thread. I propose that we target him on first and second down, to avoid the mental stress.
