US boots on the ground in Israel…

What should their acceptable mission be?
They are there so now that’s it’s not if or when but happening what should they be allowed or ordered to do?
Rescue Americans?
Work side by side with IDF?
Fly CAS missions?
Prevent “squirters”?
What IYO should the American troops be doing in Israel? Not being there isn’t an option any more.

Not sure why so many are downvoting this post. I’m not advocating troops on the ground, I’m saying since they are now there what should their mission be…

Green and Black ops are already participating actively in hostage/body recoveries for repatriation to their home nations.
I suspect if they are engaged, that should mean they would summarily put down the immediate threat that hinders their mission.
Aside from that, we should have no further involvement.

If they are there, they must follow their lawful orders, regardless of whether they agree or disagree with them.
But, they are probably there simply to help oversee some fine-tuning training of Israeli military forces OR they may be there to operate some sophisticated "stand-off" weapons systems.
Might be working with some CIA folks on info-gathering activities that don't involve danger.
The intent is NOT to place them in the front lines of a conventional battle.
To Liberate the Oppressed.
But, they are probably there simply to help oversee some fine-tuning training of Israeli military forces OR they may be there to operate some sophisticated "stand-off" weapons systems.
